Lapsi & Dalle Pickle
Lapsi (Nepali Hog Plum) fruit is one of the most popular pickled fruit of the hills known for its mouthwatering tangy taste. After pickling, the usual chartreuse colour of the fruit takes on an acidic blackish brown pigment, the pulp surrounding the kernel becoming moist and soft after a thorough process of self fermenting.
One of the joyous, almost religious combination with lapsi is Dalle. The sourness and the right amount of burn is always a cause to keep your palate asking for more and more.
Also, a fun fact; lapsi is rich in vitamin C and is also of great medicinal value!!
